Employment Support added to the new Guidelines for Psychosis Care!

We are so happy today to see that NICE (National Institute for health and Care Excellence) have added some new recommendations to improve the care for people with psychosis and schizophrenia. There are various recommendations and the full report can be read here but we want to focus on just one.

Under the heading ‘Accessing Services’ one of the new recommendations states that:

“Health services should offer employment support to anyone who wants help finding or returning to work.”

This is great news! We have long believed that people with mental health problems should be supported to find employment they find fulfilling and rewarding once they are well enough.  We are so proud to be part of the recovery process for hundreds of people in the Bradford and Airedale area, helping people find training, education, and employment.  Now we hope people in other areas start to receive the support to help them find employment!
