Mental Health Peer Support Worker

The role of peer support worker (PSW) has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of mental distress. Through sharing wisdom from their own experiences, peer support workers will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others. As part of the assessment team within the Administration Hub for My Wellbeing College (IAPT service), the PSW will complete assessments over the phone to ensure the right service will be received.

Based at Lynfield Mount Hospital, Bradford, The Cellar Trust is partnering with BDCFT to offer Peer Support roles to work within the Assessment Team of My Wellbeing College.

We are recruiting a new team to offer a Peer Support element to the assessment of My Wellbeing College referral assessments to people across the Bradford District and Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven. The partnership is between The Cellar Trust & Bradford District Foundation Care.

We are looking for two peer support workers with lived expertise in the area of mental health.

As a core member of the administration team, the PSWs will assess clients over the telephone who have been referred or self-referred to My Wellbeing College.
