What is Stress Busters?

Stress Busters is a 45 minute psycho-educational presentation that aims to help people:

• Understand what stress is
• Learn about how it affects them and their lives
• Identify their own patterns of stress
• To begin managing their stress

Last year we delivered Stress Busters to over 1,000 people in the local area. The start of 2019 has been really busy for us and there’s even more to come, so we’re hoping to reach even more people this year.

As it’s currently Stress Awareness Month, and with Mental Health Awareness Week coming up in May, myself and the team here at the Trust are busy delivering sessions across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven. You might also see us out and about supporting organisations that are running events to promote mental health awareness across the region!

Why do you deliver Stress Busters?

I am passionate about mental health wellbeing and love going out and busting stress! When stress takes hold it can have a major impact on people’s lives, both at home and at work – nearly 40% of all workplace absence is stress related. If I can help people to be aware, start to manage their stress and make even a small difference in someone’s life then the early mornings, late nights and all the travelling are well worth it.

How much does it cost and how do I book a session?

The sessions are FREE – we are commissioned by My Wellbeing College NHS, to deliver Stress Busters to the community. All we ask is that a simple registration form is completed by attendees (a cup of tea and biscuits would be nice too!)

To book a session call 01274 588002 or email stressbusters@thecellartrust.org
