We’re an independent charity cafe for all the community; a relaxed, friendly place to meet, eat great food and drink proper coffee. Frequently described as a hidden gem, you can always count on us for a warm welcome.

Set back from the busy roads, our community cafe is located at our main site in Shipley. With an emphasis on good quality ingredients, we offer cooked breakfasts, freshly-made sandwiches, hot lunches and sweet treats, plus a range of snacks and drinks all at a reasonable price.

Our regular menu is supplemented with a rotating selection of weekly specials and we’re known for having a good range of vegetarian options. All our food is made in-house including our bread, which is shaped by hand and baked fresh every day.

Supporting local food

Where possible, we use locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. We purchase all our meat from multi-award winning, local butchers Sutcliffe’s of Skipton and a fair proportion of our vegetables, particularly in the summer months, come from The Cellar Trust allotment.

Our coffee

We serve specialty, ground-to-order coffee, that’s freshly roasted just down the road at Casa Espresso. The team at Casa Espresso regularly pop in to deliver barista training to our new clients meaning we’re creating sublime coffees, each and every time.

Great for families

We pride ourselves on being a family friendly cafe; we are pushchair accessible, provide highchairs and baby changing facilities, and all our meals are available in half portions for children.

Not just a cafe

Our cafe is more than just a friendly place to grab lunch, it’s a supportive training environment where people recovering from mental health problems come to learn catering and customer service skills as well as build confidence and self-esteem.

Your custom gives opportunity and experience to our clients; while you order your coffee and cake, our clients develop skills for employment, in a judgement-free, supportive environment that allows them to shine.

We’re open 9.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
