This workshop is designed to help us recognise our own self-esteem, monitor it and learn strategies to make improvements, to learn positive thinking strategies and increase our motivation. Having self-esteem means you have a sense of personal value and worth. Learn why it matters for motivation and mental health.

This course will explore:

  • To understand what self-esteem is
  • To understand ways in which we can recognise and monitor our own self-esteem and how to improve it
  • To learn about positive thinking strategies and increase our motivation

This workshop helps us understand what assertiveness is, to understand the difference between assertiveness and other ways of communicating and to understand some ways of being assertive and communicating assertively. Being assertive is challenging. But by being assertive you can take control of your choices and feel that you are steering your life in the way you want.

This course will explore:

  • what assertiveness is
  • the difference between assertiveness and other ways of communicating
  • ways of being assertive and communicating assertively

This course will look at identifying types of conflict and common misconceptions around conflict. We look at the different types of resolution and situations where one is preferable and start to identify techniques that may help when faced with conflict.

This workshop aims to explore and understand the subject of change and the various challenges that exist as a result of experiencing it. We aim to start to try and understand change and the various types, we start to identify why we might be resistant to change, look at the stages of change and start to build up tips on managing it in the future.

This course will explore:

  • Develop effective tools for managing change in the future

We will build our knowledge around resilience and learn to recognise when it is needed in our lives. It also looks at identifying and exploring different things we can do to help us build and maintain our own levels of resilience. Designed to help us start to understand what resilience is, to learn to recognise when it is needed and to identify things we can do or try to help us build more effective resilience going forward.

This course takes a look at the role of action planning and goal setting within personal development and outlines a range of common tools and approaches that can be used to help identify and achieve realistic goals in our lives.
