Our courses

We’ll be hosting a series of FREE one-hour and two-hour online courses and webinars throughout the year.

The sessions will provide information and awareness on a range of topics and have been specially selected to support the wider community in response to the ongoing Covid 19 crisis.

Sessions are approximately one hour in duration and will be facilitated by Cellar Trust staff. They will take place online via Zoom and will be delivered in a presentation/webinar format with opportunities to ask questions at the end. Please be aware that these courses are open to all and by signing up all participants agree to act in a safe and appropriate manner at all times.

The Cellar Trust Online: Suicide Awareness

Tuesday 2nd February – 1pm to 2pm

This aims to improve our awareness of causes, risk factors and warning signs for suicide. The session will introduce different ways to engage with people feeling suicidal including how to both talk and listen to people feeling suicidal. This is delivered in partnership with MyWellbeing College.

The Cellar Trust Online: Building Resilience

Thursday 4th February – 1pm to 2pm

This session aims to develop our understanding and knowledge around resilience and learn to recognise when it is needed in our lives. It also looks at identifying and exploring different things we can do to help us build and maintain our own levels of resilience.

The Cellar Trust Online: Managing Change

Thursday 11th February – 1pm to 2pm

This session aims to explore and understand the subject of change and the various challenges that exist as a result of experiencing it. We will look at identifying why we might be resistant to change, examine the different stages of the change process and develop effective tools for managing change in the future.

The Cellar Trust Online: Skills for Being Well in adversity

Thursdays – 10am to 12pm (6 weeks)

The Skills for Being Well in adversity course is a 6 week course that will be held weekly for 2 hours per session. Each week members will have a discussion around different topics such as self-care, managing stress and anxiety and thinking styles and beliefs.

The course aims to help members cope with triggers, look at how they can deal with difficult feelings, give members time to reflect and also look at ways in which they can move forward.

When is it?

Week 1: Thursday 14th January 2021 10am- 12pm
Week 2: Thursday 21st January 2021 10am-12pm
Week 3: Thursday 28th January 2021 10am-12pm
Week 4: Thursday 4th February 2021 10am-12pm

Wednesday 3rd February – 1pm to 2pm

This focuses on understanding the effects of stress and how it effects the way we think, feel and behave. In addition, it will help you learn ways of tackling, managing and controlling stress including useful tools and tips, especially over the festive period. This is delivered in partnership with MyWellbeing College.

This outlines the effects of low mood, how it can change our patterns of thought and highlights associated feelings and behaviours involved. It aims to help you understand more about the causes of low mood and develop effective practical ways of recognising, managing and controlling it.
