HOPE service wins National Positive Practice in Mental Health Award
We are delighted that the HOPE service has won a National Positive Practice in Mental Health Award for its work as a Third Sector Service (charity) working in partnership with the NHS.
“Bringing another one home for The Cellar Trust, this time for our Hope trauma service. So proud of our team. They really do incredible work.” Kim Shutler, CEO
“Winners! The HOPE service is so special to me as our first truly coproduced service not aligning to any dictated service specification but instead, aligning to feedback from individuals whose needs weren’t being met by traditional services. It’s flexible, respectful and truly person-centred and trauma-informed. So thrilled for the HOPE team.” Heather Tattersall, Deputy CEO
HOPE supports people who have experienced long term and/or complex trauma and have had difficulty engaging with other services or find they do not meet their needs. The service provides intensive peer support, for up to 12 weeks, with a focus on early engagement to build a trusting relationship and help people to achieve their goals.
The PPiMH awards take place annually, to identify, share and celebrate positive practice in mental health. Open to statutory, third sector, voluntary and private organisations.
PPiMH is a user-led multi-agency collaborative of 25 organisations including NHS trusts, third sector organisations and service user groups. The collaborative’s aim is working to help identify and share examples of how good mental health care can be delivered and to raise the profile of mental health with politicians and policy makers and to disseminate positive practice in mental health care.
